Stage USA : store manager trainee

Intern Offer: Store Manager Trainee – The Uniform Superstore
Location: Houston, Texas
Duration: May/June – end of September

Environment

The Uniform Superstore is a retail operation (3 stores) highly specialized in School Uniforms and Medical Uniforms. Back to School is our Christmas in terms of sales and profitability. Major TV advertising and catalog distribution to over 750,000 households allow us to become the largest retailer in the Houston metro market for school uniforms.

This internship/Training is addressed to somebody who is definitively attracted to the Mass Merchandise (Grande distribution) sector. The Back to School operation is all about volume, similar to what you would experience in a Hypermarket in France around Christmas. The position is for somebody energetic, hard working, pragmatic, flexible and whose passion is commerce and merchandising. Spanish is a plus (not a must), since Hispanics represent more than 40% of the Houston population.

What will you learn?

If you have prior experience in a retail shop or in a Hypermarket/Supermarket, this internship will give you a more in depth view of retail in a specialized store with seasonal activity. The intern will also appreciate the understanding of the American consumer and how consumer spending drives the US economy.

Finally communication skills will be tested thru his/her team leadership.
